Globe trotter, c’est au beau milieu des océans qu’Antoine Monnier aka Vinna’s, jeune artiste français, commence à écrire et composer sa musique décrite « pleine de bonnes vibes ».
En recherche, armé de son clavier midi et d’une batterie, il fixe sur son ordinateur ses inspirations lorsqu’un soir, en écoutant une interview de Marc Cerrone, Vinna’s décide de se plonger dans cette époque mêlant disco & funk.
Les mots du producteur résonnent en lui et réveillent une passion pour ces sonorités intemporelles.
Vinna’s pose alors les bases de Midnight Wave, enregistre les claviers et la batterie, et développe son oeuvre au gré de ses voyages et rencontres : il fait appel au chilien Cristian Orellana pour la basse, au français Robin Lapalut pour les guitares, aux Brass Seeders pour la section de cuivres et au chanteur et auteur US Lewis Raye. De retour dans l’hexagone, Vinna’s confie les pistes et le mixage de son titre au label Et Aussi Records.
Sublimé par la patte vintage du studio et le mastering réalisé par le californien J.J. Golden, Midnight Wave arrive prêt à faire danser les fougueux et rester graver dans la tête des plus sages. While searching, armed with his MIDI keyboard and a drum kit, he captured his inspirations on his computer. One evening, while listening to an interview with Marc Cerrone, Vinna’s decided to immerse himself in this era of disco and funk.
The producer’s words resonated with him and reawakened a passion for these timeless sounds.
Vinna’s then laid the foundations for Midnight Wave, recorded keyboards and drums, and developed his work through his travels and encounters: he called on Chilean Cristian Orellana for bass, Frenchman Robin Lapalut for guitars, the Brass Seeders for the brass section, and US singer and songwriter Lewis Raye. Back in France, Vinna’s entrusted the tracks and mixing of his song to the label Et Aussi Records. Enhanced by the studio’s vintage touch and mastering by Californian J.J. Golden, Midnight Wave arrives ready to make the fiery dance and remain etched in the minds of the wisest.
